From 1972 until 1986, Jim
Meadows and Carl Ohly were recognized as excellent real estate
professionals with experience in a range of real estate
transactions, but particular expertise in medical office buildings.
Meadows & Ohly had created a niche by working successfully with many
physicians to develop medical office space adjacent to hospital
campuses.
In the mid 1980s, demand for Meadows & Ohly's healthcare services
grew as hospitals responded to changes in the Medicare reimbursement
system by building medical office space on their campuses. Hospital
administrators sought Meadows & Ohly's expertise in working with
physicians and blending the hospital strategic objectives with
physicians' needs.
In 1989, Jim Meadows, Carl Ohly and Tom Rhodes made a strategic
decision to focus 100% of the firm's resources and attention on
serving the needs of hospitals and physicians. For the past 20
years, Meadows & Ohly personnel have actively participated in
healthcare seminars both as attendees learning from others, and as
speakers sharing expertise. Today, Meadows & Ohly is recognized
throughout the Southeast and nation as a leader in providing
healthcare real estate management, development and strategic
planning services.
