Position Summary:
The IT Sr. Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s information technology strategy and operations. This role oversees the IT department, manages technology infrastructure, ensures data security, and aligns IT initiatives with business goals. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Identify emerging technologies that can improve business operations and drive innovation.
- Collaborate with leadership to define IT-related priorities and investments.
- IT Operations Management
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and security of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications.
- Ensure system uptime, performance, and scalability.
- Manage IT service delivery and ensure high availability of critical systems.
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Team Management
- Lead and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Build cross-functional teams to support business units.
- Budgeting & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in IT strategy, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise systems, networking, and IT governance.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
Preferred Certifications:
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader
- Microsoft 365 Certified
- Microsoft Azure Certified
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
