Meadows & Ohly is a group of exceptional people committed to a set of core values that guide us in all we do. We believe we have a responsibility to invest our time, talent and resources back into our communities. We also believe it's a privilege to do so. This philosophy not only impacts those in need, but we've found it impacts our company as well. We have learned that serving together strengthens relationships among our employees and makes us a better team.
Each of our offices partners with a local ministry, service organization or school to hold an annual Day of Service. By deploying our team's project management, construction and operational expertise, we have the privilege of making significant impact on the lives of others in our community. On Days of Service, our employees invest their time and talent to build fences, mow lawns, paint houses, repair buildings, cook meals, plant gardens and even create outdoor classrooms. The engagement with our community and sense of accomplishment often blesses our team more than those we serve.
Our desire to serve doesn't stop at the corporate level. Our people are inspired to meet the needs of those less fortunate. These examples remind us of our ongoing obligation to make an impact.
JOE YOUNG, Principal (Retired), serves on the Rainbow Village Board of Directors. Rainbow Village was established so that families in need could be assessed in terms of financial needs, career development, education, life skills and necessary support systems. These families move into completely furnished homes for one to two years. Joe also served as the voluntary Owner's Representative for the development of Rainbow Village's consolidated campus which was developed in 3 phases.
RICHARD MURRAY, Building Manager, along with his wife and over 215 volunteers, joined forces to help revitalize the town of Hapeville, GA. The project centered on caring for residents who are no longer financially or physically able to take care of their homes. In 2016, M&O painted five homes on our Day of Service.
