Meadows & Ohly proudly served as both Program Manager and Transition & Activation partner for this transformational project, helping guide the development from planning through occupancy and first patient.
The $212 million expansion adds 185,000 square feet of clinical space to the Piedmont Henry campus. Designed to support the growing healthcare needs of Henry County and the surrounding region, the new tower includes 112 private patient beds across multiple specialized units, including stroke, post-surgical and trauma, post-orthopedic, and intensive care. Each unit features 28 private patient rooms, creating a modern environment that optimizes patient care and operational efficiency. The tower also includes space for future expansion, strengthening the hospital’s ability to meet the demand of one of Metro Atlanta’s fastest-growing counties through additional capacity, improved patient flow, and enhanced clinical capabilities.

The first patient was welcomed into the new tower on June 16, marking the culmination of years of planning, construction, and operational readiness efforts designed to support the delivery of high-quality care. Meadows & Ohly’s Activation team worked alongside Piedmont leadership, clinical staff, and project stakeholders to ensure a seamless move into the facility while maintaining continuity of care throughout the transition.
